WASHINGTON (AP) -- Illinois is one of five states receiving a share of early childhood learning grants from the federal government. Illinois will get between $20 million and $34 million. Education Secretary Arne Duncan says the money will help thousands of children get a stronger start on the skills they need to succeed in school.
