Hells Angels Donate Food to Rockford Rescue Mission

ROCKFORD (WIFR) – Unlike what some expected, the Hells Angels left town with a much brighter legacy.

The Rockford Rescue Mission says the biker gang donated nearly 2,500 pounds of food. The Christian charity says included in that are more than 200 pounds of meat. That could serve a thousand people. The rest are non-perishable items.

"Organizations that care about the community they see what we do and they want to support it,” said the Rockford Rescue Mission’s Director of Development Chris Eldridge. “We're just happy that another meal gets served, another mouth gets fed."

Rockford Rescue Mission says this is the first time the Hells Angels have ever donated to the group.
