FREEPORT (WIFR) -- A panel of healthcare providers including wound care experts and FHN’s Diabetes Education Program Coordinator will talk about diabetes at FHN’s March Speaker Series event.
There is no charge to attend the event, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 14 at FHN Family Healthcare Center – Burchard Hills, 1010 W. Fairway Drive, Freeport.
FHN surgeon Rafael Castro, MD, FACS, WCC, medical director of The Center for Wound Healing at FHN, and podiatrist Roland Tolliver, DPM will talk about the prevention and treatment of wounds caused by diabetes.
FHN dietitian Nicolette Drane, RD, LDN, CDE will discuss how to tell if you are at risk of developing diabetes and how your diet can help manage – or even prevent or delay – the condition. She will have healthy recipes to share.
