ROSCOE (WIFR) -- A local fire station is getting a multimillion dollar make-over.
On Thursday Firefighters officially broke ground at Harlem-Roscoe Fire Station #1. They're building on to the north and south of the current facility to improve firefighter living conditions and to revamp administrative space. There could also be a classroom for public use in the future. Chief Don Shoevlin says the improvements could ultimately help make the community safer.
