ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The local girl scouts are taking on the tough subject of bullying in a new film.

The Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois walked the red carpet at Showplace 16 to unveil their anti bullying short film, "I am the Music: A Rock Operetta".

The movie was filmed mostly at Boylan High School and around the Stateline. The cast includes 35 girl scouts from around the Northern Illinois. The film takes place at a fictional all girls high school and focus on mean girls and cyber-bullying.
