FREEPORT (WIFR) -- A new scam is coming from a phone number we would typically trust.
Freeport Police say a local woman just picked up a call from a man, who claimed he worked with F.B.I. She says the law enforcement agency's phone number even popped up on her caller ID. Officers tell us the scammer gave the the women two long distance numbers asking her pay money to take care of fake warrants.
