Marty Flint's Family Holds Vigil

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Three years ago, Marty Flint was shot down in cold blood outside a corner store in Rockford. Investigators are still looking for answer and the family is still searching for closure.

"We were going over to visit a family member and he left and came to this corner store right here and never came back. It's been three years already and we have no suspects. We have no idea what's going on with the case and we just want to put it out there that no one is in custody yet,” said Sarah Flint, Marty’s widow.

Yesterday, Flint's family held an afternoon vigil to celebrate Marty's life. Marty was 26 years old when he and a friend went to a corner store at Fergeson and Morgan streets in Rockford. Flint is survived by his wife Sarah and three young daughters.

Flint's mother, Candice, read a statement to the media. She is asking anyone with information on her son's death to come forward and call Rockford police. The number is 963-7867 and you can remain anonymous.
