Five Injured in Two Vehicle Crash in Rock County

ROCK COUNTY (WIFR) -- Five people are injured in a two vehicle accident that happened just west of North Fox Road in Center Township around 9:30 Sunday.

Police say a white GMC Sonoma had crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming blue Dodge Avenger. Police found 17 year old Arick Vance of Janesville trapped inside the Sonoma which had overturned and was smoking in the middle of the road. Vance was extricated and transported to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say a 16 year old who was driving the Avenger was critically injured. The driver's mother, 42 year old Shanda Miller, and her two other daughters, ages 12 and 11 were also in the car at the time accident. Miller and the two girls were treated for minor injuries. The 16 year old is said to be in stable condition.

Vance has been cited for operating left of the center. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
