First Food Truck Opens Downtown

ROCKFORD (WIFR) – There’s a new place to grab a bite to eat, just don’t look for your typical restaurant.

Coley’s Cooler is the first food truck to roll into the city since a new ordinance was passed. Tom Abraham started the company out of Boone County three years ago and now they’ve got four trucks driving across the Stateline. Abraham tells us they sell a variety of ice cream and sandwiches, but their most popular item is one of their specialty hotdogs.

"The most popular hotdog is one topped with macaroni and cheese and bacon bits. And we're also doing some pulled pork sandwiches and pulled pork nachos, too,” said Abraham.

You can check them out at 300 West State Street. They’re usually open from 11 to 1 p.m.
