ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A Stateline manufacturer is donating a piece of equipment to help build our future work-force.
Rockford Fastenal just handed over an $80,000 CNC machine to EIGERlab. The organization trains Rock-Valley College tech works students for manufacturing jobs. Future workers will now be able to get hands on training with the equipment.
“It’s a real tool used on our shop floor. We also feel that students learning this technology will be up to speed when they step on to our shop floor" said Tim Borkowski.
The machine is valued at $100,000 dollars.
