BYRON (WIFR) -- The daughter of Byron man Emory Weems says she'll never give up on finding justice for her dad.

Weems was murder in February of 2011; shot and left for dead in his home. He died less than a week later at a Rockford hospital.

Today, his daughter Hannah Cooper spoke with 23 News and says even though today marks four years since he was shot, she will not give up hope that police will find her dad's killer.

"I know that he's still out there looking down on all of us," said Cooper about her father.

We reached out to Byron Police for an update on the case but haven't heard back.
