Woman Dies Following November Dog Attack/Seizure
39-year-old Tonia Parks died following a combination of a dog attack and seizure in November.

UPDATE: 39-year-old Tonia Parks has died following a November dog attack/seizure incident.

The coroner says Parks suffered a seizure at her home on Collins St. when she suffered a seizure while trying to break up a fight between her dogs.

Parks sustained a mailing injury to her head and neck as well as a bite to her jugular vein.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Two American Bulldogs left their owner in critical condition this morning. It happened in the 3200 Block of Collins Street.

Animal Control and Rockford Police were called in. The two dogs were taken into custody and the case is still under investigation.

From the Rockford Police:

ROCKFORD (RPD) -- On 11-18-11 at about 1033 hrs, Rockford police officers were sent to the 3200 block of Collins St. to assist the Winnebago County Animal Control with a dog bite complaint.

Officers learned that the dog owner had been bitten by their own dog, and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The two dogs involved in this case were described as pit bulls. The dogs were taken into custody by Animal Control and the case is under investigation.

just so every one knows that was my aunt and she is truely missed she left two beautiful kids behind she was not greaking a fight up between the dogs she had a seizure and if you look up piy bulls its there natural instinct to take another dog out over a seizure the news and everyone has it wrong i love you tonia and moma may u both rest in peace

My heart goes out to Tania's family. Will keep them in my prayers... Didn't know she had such large dogs. Only knew of a small dog and about 20 cats.

Hmm...it was a Lab that chewed off its owners face causing her to be the first face transplant recipient.
