Cycles for Change Program Helps Rockford's Homeless

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A local non profit that helps homeless adults find a job and a place to live is now also able to provide them with a set of wheels.

Carpenter's Place in Rockford handed out 30 bikes Monday to adults in its housing program. The new Cycles for Change Program is designed to provide the homeless with a reliable mode of transportation to get to school or a job.

The bikes given away is funded thanks to a donation from Merrill Johnson.
