ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Curran’s Orchard will donate $1.00 for each “carving pumpkin” sold during October to the Breast Cancer Awareness Fund, beginning this weekend, October 13th.
“It's a good cause; it’ll raise the awareness of this dreadful disease.” Said Patrick Curran, owner of Curran’s Orchard.
Visitors to the orchard may take a complementary weekend hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick their favorite pumpkin or choose one of the pre-picked pumpkins at the apple barn.
Curran’s Orchard is open for the fall apple season 9am until 6pm daily, except open at 7am on Fridays so customers can take donuts to work. Currans is open until the 1st weekend in December.
Visitors are also welcome to pick up a bag of apples (tree picking is not offered this season due to bad growing season), enjoy some awesome apple donuts, award-winning cider, fresh baked apple pie, honey, maple syrup, jams, salad dressings, craft items, hay wagon rides, farm animal corral, straw bale mini-maze, climbing bales, apple sling shot, & more!
