STATELINE (WIFR) -- Freezing temperatures and this weekend’s heavy rain are making an already bad pothole situation, even worse. Many of you have been reporting dangerous potholes all over the area.

The City of Rockford and Winnebago County both have crews out everyday filling them in. But with the fluctuating temps, those in charge say cerws are having a tough time keeping up.

We’re looking for the worst potholes across the Stateline. If you see a giant pothole, take a picture of it and post it with its location on our Facebook page.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Our roads can't just catch a break. They may be mostly clear of snow and ice, but now, potholes are popping up.

We caught up with crews filling potholes today and some were huge craters! Fluxuating temperatures have caused them and big plow trucks have made them worse. Rockford's streets department says they're doing their best to keep us from swerving around them.

If you see any potholes, the city requests you report them immediately through a form on the city’s website.
