The 2012 PHOENIX was completed under the direction of yearbook adviser Mrs. Kristin Elsbernd.
“I am so proud of this group of students and the accomplishment of being included as a trend-setting yearbook in this year’s Look Book. Yearbook students often work behind-the-scenes to showcase the school, and their hard work is not often understood by the rest of their classmates when they peruse the yearbook. In particular, Wyatt Tinder, who designed the opening spread included in the Look Book, deserves special recognition for his passion and eye for design,” commented yearbook adviser, Mrs. Kristin Elsbernd.
Craig High School’s PHOENIX was one of only 425 yearbooks selected from approximately 3,000. In addition, it was one of only ten schools from Wisconsin featured in this national publication. The 2013 panel of judges, comprised of nationally recognized scholastic journalism professionals and award-winning yearbook advisers, selected the best examples of yearbook spread and covers to make up the 352 page Look Book.
The 2012 PHOENIX staff also received First Place Award from the American Scholastic Press Association for and won a special sections award for “Best Division Pages” from the American Scholastic Press Association this year.
