Cheap Trick Snubbed Again by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Another cheap shot for Cheap Trick compliments of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Once again the rockers from Rockford were left off the list of nominees for the class of 2012, while there were some legitimate nominees like Guns and Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Hear. The list also included the likes of the Small Faces, Joan Jett and Rufus with Chaka Kahn. All artists that don't even hold a candle to Cheap Trick when it comes to album sales or concert appearances.

"Cheap Trick being snubbed to me is at this point in time really criminal when you think about it. I don't think any band has influenced more modern music in the last thirty years than Cheap Trick. Kurt Cobain even name checked them. He was asked to describe Nirvana's sound at one point, he said "We're like Cheap Trick with more distortion," BRIZZ., 96.7 The Eagle Afternoon Host, says, "I don't think people are snubbing them because they don't like them but for some reason they just keep getting passed over and there is just a whole bevy of bands that keep getting passed over and Cheap Trick is right there at the top of the list."

To illustrate BRIZZ's point, other big time rockers still on the outside looking in include Bon Jovi, Kiss, The Doobie Brothers and Chicago and Rush.
