UPDATE: Criminal Charges Reinstated for Man Caught with Gun at RFD

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A judge has reinstated the criminal case against a man who allegedly tried to bring a handgun on a plane at RFD.

Because of a mix up in the State's Attorney’s Office, charges were dropped last week, but now, the case is back on against Joseph Frisella, who says he didn't know the gun was in his bag when he went through security.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The Rockford man accused of trying to bring a loaded gun on a flight out of the Rockford Airport is no longer facing charges.

We just learned the case was dropped late last week. 38-year-old Joseph Frisella was stopped by a TSA Agent back in August. He told authorities he didn't know the weapon was in his bag.
