ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Dozens of bow ties made their way down the Perryville Path Saturday morning.
Rockford Health System sponsored the Bow Tie March, which was created to recognize and raise awareness of men touched by cancer.
The third annual fundraiser benefits the Healing Pathways-Cancer Resource Center and more than 500 people, and their bow ties, participated.
A group of cancer survivors were also on hand to make the 1.5 mile walk.
"We know that we're not alone in this and we have other people that will work with us and support us and talk with us," said Ron Stephan. "We get very involved with each other. We have a lot of activities at the healing pathways that all go along with trying to get us through the cancer survival and become survivors."
Healing Pathways-Cancer Resource Center offers free services to people affected by cancer, living within a 30-mile radius of the Rockford Area.
