BELVIDERE (WIFR) -- A Belvidere family has been displaced after a garage fire spread to their home.

It happened a little before 1:00 p.m. this afternoon in the 8700 block of West Ridge Drive. Multiple fire departments responded controlled the flames within 15 minutes. No word on how much damage was done, but the home is not safe to live in.
