BELOIT (WIFR) -- The Beloit Police Department will be conducting a traffic enforcement on October 19th from 11:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Beloit Police Officers will be working under an Alcohol Saturation Grant, provided by the state of Wisconsin, to combat drunken driving and increase safety belt use. The Beloit Police Department along with WI Department of Transportation has identified the following roadways in the community as at-risk roadways: Liberty Ave (HWY 81), Riverside Dr. (HWY 51), and Prairie Ave.

The Beloit Police Department is striving to prevent motorists from killing and injuring themselves and others on our roadways. The Beloit Police Department is serious about traffic safety enforcement because far too many needless deaths and serious injuries are due to drunken driving and not wearing safety belts. Police are reminding us to drive safely and have a designated driver.
