American Red Cross Places Flood Shelter on Standby

UPDATE:

The American Red Cross Rock River Chapter has placed its shelter on standby on April 23, 2013. The Red Cross says it is ready to reopen this shelter if there is a need in our service area.

STATELINE (WIFR) -- The American Red Cross Rock River Chapter has opened a shelter for those who do not feel safe or are unable to get in their homes due to the flood waters or do not have any other resource for a safe, warm or dry place to stay.

The location of the shelter is at:

The Red Cross asks that citizens come to the shelter with:

• Comfort items
• ALL medications

The shelter is unable to accommodate pets
