Allstate: Rockford Drivers Best in Illinois

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- People in most hometowns claim to have hands down the worst drivers in America, but when it comes to Rockford research suggests otherwise.

According to Allstate's 10th Annual America's Best Driver Report the average Stateline driver will experience an auto collision every 11.2 years. Out of the country's 200 largest cities Rockford ranks first in the state and 25th in the country.

The only Midwest city to crack the top ten is Madison at number nine. When it comes to the safest drivers in the country head to the mountains of Fort Collins, Colorado with an average of 14.2 years between accidents. Worcester, Massachusetts drivers average a collision every 4.3 years.
