ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- A Rockford man is arrested for allegedly driving drunk and causing a rollover crash.
It happened just after 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the intersection of Riverside and Rockton. Police say two vehicles, one behind the other, were both traveling westbound on Riverside. The car operated by Mikel Schuelke, allegedly crashed into the SUV in front of him, causing the SUV to roll over several time, trapping the driver inside. The driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital for non life threatening injuries. Mikel Schuelke was arrested by police and faces charges of Driving Under the Influence and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
