A local church is dedicating its Sunday to making sure every child owns some type of toy.
Members of Aldersgate United Methodist Church are making and painting toy trucks and cars for local kid. More than 900 of the items will go to hospitals and those less fortunate.
Volunteers said it feel it feels good to help out the community.
"What I like about it, I think it's a lot of fun first, but it's also a kind of hands on way of bringing a smile to a child who perhaps hasn't smiled for awhile," said Pastor Doug Williams, who brought the idea to the church.
The toys will be donated to families throughout the year.
