Acne Antibiotics Cause Sore Throats
Acne is the most common skin condition. And many people take antibiotics to try to clear it up. But now a new study shows taking acne drugs is associated with another common health problem.

ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- Acne is the most common skin condition. And many people take antibiotics to try to clear it up.
But now a new study shows taking acne drugs is associated with another common health problem.
University of Pennsylvania researchers looked at a group of college students and found that those taking oral antibiotics were three times more likely to get a sore throat.
But they aren't exactly sure why that is. Patients are told to take the antibiotic on an empty stomach... But if they're sensitive to acid reflux they should take it with food.
People using acne creams were not at risk.
