UPDATE: CHICAGO (AP) -- A suburban Chicago man is accused of jumping into a car that had been left idling and driving away with a baby in the backseat.

Adan Ozuna was charged Friday with unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle and endangering the life of a child.

Police in the northwest suburb of Bensenville say a man stole the car around 12:30 a.m. Thursday. It had been parked but left running outside an apartment complex. The child's mother told police that as she went inside the building, a man came out and drove off with the car and her 18-month-old daughter.

About six hours later, police found the car and the child, who was unhurt.

Ozuna, who lives a block from where the car was found, was arrested Friday.

BENSENVILLE (CBS) — Police have canceled an Amber Alert after a child who was abducted overnight in Bensenville was located.

Police say the baby was taken at 940 W. Irving Park Road by a male suspect who stole a car with the child inside around 12:40 a.m. The child was found safe around 7 a.m. in a driveway at 1112 Argyle Street about a mile from where the abduction took place.

She was taken to Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove Village for observation.

The girl, Kimberly Delgado, was found safe when someone found the car Thursday morning as they were leaving for work, Bensenville Police Chief Frank Kosmen told reporters. He said Kimberly was reunited with her mother.

Around 12:40 a.m., Kimberly was briefly left inside a black 2003 Buick Rendezvous when her mother walked a friend into an apartment building, police said.

With the car parked and left running for just a few seconds, the mother entered the building and passed a man who walked out and then got into the woman’s car, police said.

The suspect is Hispanic, 35 to 40 years old with a heavy build, and was wearing a red sweater.

Kimberly is 18 months old, about two feet tall and weighs 25 pounds.

Bensenville police said they do not think the man knew the child was inside the car when he stole it.

A witness saw the man drive off and heard the mother cry for help

UPDATE: Police indicate Kimberly Delgado has been located. No update on the car or suspect.
