ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- In a true sign of times the AARP is hosting a career resources fair.
It was open to job-seekers over 50. Attendees could learn about legal issues, starting a small business, and even about social networking.
Facebook 101. Linked In 101 and how to search for jobs online were some of the workshops offered. Organizers say being digitally savvy is especially important in today's economy.
Terri Worman from the AARP said, Facebook, Twitter, Linked In: all of them can be used not only for your job search but also to let potential employers know that you're there and looking for jobs as well."
The AARP hopes to teach job seekers how to put their best foot forward when it comes to finding a job.
