ROCKFORD (WIFR) – A woman and two small children are safe after shots were fired inside their home on the 500 block of Indiana Avenue Wednesday evening. The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. where police say several shots were fired inside the residence.

No one was injured, however, after the shots were fire a brick was thrown into a window followed by a Molotov cocktail. The explosive device hit the side of the window and bounced into the yard igniting a small brush fire.

No was injured and no suspects were seen during the incident.
