Rockford's water division says its okay to drink tap water again. .

The citywide boil order we've been reporting has been lifted as of eight a-m this morning.

Two nights ago a sixteen inch water main at the intersections of cedar and green streets. Burst flooding the area. That drop in water pressure prompted the city to issue a boil order.

Officials tell 23 news they've completed testing the water and it's safe to drink. The flooding the main caused has not affected on the waterfront activities.
