Jobs Bill Passes in the Senate
A bill aimed at boosting* jobs cleared the senate this morning by 68 to 29 vote .

A bill aimed at boosting* jobs cleared the senate this morning by 68 to 29 vote .
The package includes some $18 billion dollars in tax breaks for companies that hire new employees and about $20 billion in spending for updating highway and transit systems.
The vote fell largely along party lines with republicans arguing that the measure is too expensive and doesn't do enough to really boost employment
