The Chicago Sun-Times reports Thursday that the commission will point to a series of mistakes by the Chicago Fire Department as factors in the deaths of six people in the October 17 fire at the Cook County Administration Building.
The newspaper says that the mistakes include fighting the fire from the wrong stairwell and directing fleeing employees to the wrong place.
A commission member spoke to the newspaper on condition of anonymity.
The commission's attorney Craig Antas says the portions leaked to the Sun-Times were the most critical of the Fire Department and not necessarily indicative of the tone of the report as a whole.
