Immigration Law

The measure known as 287-g applies to illegal immigrants who commit serious crimes like murder, rape, and certain drug offenses.

Considering the stateline has a high illegal immigrant population. In order for any of this to go into affect it would have to be approved by the Homeland Security Department. Both Winnebago and Boone Counties have high illegal immigrant populations but Illinois Minutemen Director Rosanna Pulido says she's encouraged by the ruling in Waukegan but what we need is the willingness of our elected officials to tackle the problem of illegal immigrants.

This is a good idea, whose time has come. My parents moved from Waukegan due to the violence that has overtaken my home town.

Someone, please address the illegal immigrant situation in the Rockford and Belvidere. It's time they either apply for citizenship or head back to Mexico. They need to be behind bars if they committ serious crimes. Preferrably in Mexico.
