$5,000 Reward Offered in Credit Union Robbery

(Belvidere, IL) – The authorities and General Mills Federal Credit Union are requesting public assistance to find the suspect who robbed General Mills Federal Credit Union’s Belvidere Branch located at 915 E. Pleasant Street on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at approximately 6:30 a.m. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

The robber is described as a white male, about 6-feet tall, 200 pounds and was wearing a blue coat, blue jeans, white gloves and a bandana covering his face.

During the robbery the man entered the credit union and demanded money. The man indicated he had a gun but no weapon was shown. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. No credit union employees were harmed.
