A Rockford man was doused in gasoline and set on fire Sunday night. Rockford Police say Ray Rodriguez was set on fire about 10 p.m.

The incident happened inside a house at 1330 16th Avenue. Rodriguez suffered severe burns. He was taken to SwedishAmerican Hospital before being transferred to the Loyola burn unit in Chicago.

Rockford Police are questioning a man picked up in Carroll County about the incident. At this time, no charges have been filed.
