Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne says the new work at its Toluca plant will create 400 jobs. He said Monday the company will begin making the model in December for U.S. and Latin American markets.
Mexican President Felipe Calderon says Chrysler will produce between 100,000 and 130,000 vehicles at the plant, creating about 1,200 indirect jobs.
Chrysler, controlled by Italian automaker Fiat Group SpA, already employs 2,000 workers to manufacture the PT Cruiser sedan and the Dodge Journey at the factory.
The automaker also has a truck assembly plant in the northern Mexico city of Saltillo.

I think what Chrysler is doing in Mexico is wrong ! They are going down there to have cars built only to pay poverty wages ! Do these CEO's care that the workers live in cardboard boxes ? A new refrigerator box is a luxury for most ! If Mexico treated their workers any different , let them show how these workers live ! They won't , they will not allow cameras near their plants. They pretty much have slave labor and Chrysler should lower their heads in shame that they reap huge rewards , while the workers have to scrape for survival !Sure ,invest money in plants there ,pretty soon they will be no better than China !
