Electric Rate Help

Help could be on the way to help us pay for our summer electric bills, the Human Services Department in Rockford is accepting applications for their rate relief program.

It will help Boone and Winnebago County residents who struggle the most from the recent rate hike. Residents with incomes up to 200 percent of the poverty level qualify.

For example, a family of four will get assistance if their annual income is $40,000 or less.
