"I miss him so much, I miss him everyday," Anna DiMario said.
46-year-old Michael DiMario was a loving friend, father, and husband. He was found murdered early December of last year along with 53-year-old George Ricketts.
The TV echoes, "investigators have identified one of the vicitms, they're not releasing the name yet."
It brings tears to Anna DiMario, Michael's wife, to look back at that night. It happened just days after the couple's one year wedding anniversary. She can't move on until she gets closure.
"I want to know so bad who did it and why. I'm just I can't get over it," DiMario said.
Police say the bodies were found in a courtyard near some apartments off Apple Orchard Lane. They had been beaten and stabbed to death. DiMario says the two knew each other for a few months and that they worked together at dimario's car repair shop. She also says she didn't know why they would have been on that street at the time of the crime. She said maybe they were meeting someone about a car project.
Police say this is a very active investigation and they're continuing to follow leads. DiMario says she hopes someone will come forward with information. She says it's a bad feeling not knowing.
"Very frustrating. You can't move on. You're just stuck. It's like every day is the same day," DiMario said.
Now the family is planning a vigil for the two men to bring more awareness to this crime.
A cross will be painted with Michael DiMarios name and soon it will be placed on Apple Orchard Lane as a symbol in keeping his memory alive.
DiMario and her son Isaiah made posters for the community to see... "cause so nobody can forget him. He was a good man," Isaiah Grant, Michael's stepson said.
He says he misses his dad and all the fun times they had together. They hope for the communties support to get those responsible off the street.
"Wouldn't you want that person behind bars than still being out," DiMario said.
The sister of George Ricketts says this crime happened two days before George's 54th birthday. He moved here in July of 2009 to be with his wife. They also plan to be here in town for the vigil, which is next Saturday at 5 p.m. on Apple Orchard Lane. They say someone had to have seen something because of the time of day this crime happened, around dinner time. if you have any information you're asked to call crimestoppers at 888-769-STOP.
