It's been dubbed the easy way to get bigger, quicker but now Texas high schools are cracking down on athletes who take steroids.
A new law is on its way to the governor's desk right now it would make random drug testing mandatory meaning about 22,000 of the almost one million student athletes in Texas could be randomly tested.
If signed, the law takes effect in September and so do the penalties. A first positive test means a 30 day suspension, 2nd positive test, 1 year suspension, 3rd positive test means a permanent ban.
