Rockford police shut down the Harrison post office just before 5 this afternoon, after employees there found a suspicious package.

The bomb squad was called in to investigate. The package was discovered in the main lobby of the building. After nearly two hours police found that the package was actually a notebook computer.

But they say because of the level of threats in our country they weren't taken any chances.
