Rockford firefighters put out three separate house fires within minutes of each other Monday morning.
All three fires are being called suspicious and fire officials believe they’re all related.
The most serious fire was at 411 S. Chicago St. The fire engulfed both the first and second story of the two-family home. Around a dozen people were inside at the time but no one was injured. The other fires occurred at 2917 9th Street and 918 West Street.
Rockford police believe those fires may have been caused by somebody throwing Molotov cocktails into the homes. All three fires occurred between 4:45 a.m. and 5 a.m. and are still being investigated.
