Senate Health Care Latest
The Senate approved continuing the debate on health care reform.

No republicans voted yes, and some Senate moderates say more needs to be done to control costs to give their approval. The House already passed its own version of the bill, which includes a public option. Congress would need to come to an agreement before the president signs off on it. His goal is by the end of the year.
"After Thanksgiving, everyone would have a chance to take a close look at this bill on the internet, and we could start this debate. I hope it will be a meaningful one and a positive one, not a filibuster loaded debate," says Senator Dick Durbin.
The Senate plans extends health care coverage to 94% of Americans and doesn't require states to participate.
