67 year old Bruce Lewis was a fixture from 1967 to 1982 on WIFR 23, which was known as WCEE-TV. He was an icon of the era with a weekly kid's program. His artistic impressions and drawings are still popular. Drawings from that era and more recent work.
Besides using his artwork, Mr. Lewis also intereacted with kids who attended his shows. He drew lots of fun pictures, used puppets, and was the "Mr. Rogers" of Rockford.
For many, the visit to his program was a memory still held dear.
Current 23 This Morning Anchor Andy Gannon remembers Mr. Lewis as a friendly person who always had times for others and lent his creativity to scores of local projects.

I love watching Mr.Mustache what he could do to letters and numbers was great. He will never be forgoted he was a great part of my childhood
I am 45 years old. two years ago I took my Mom and Mother-in-law to the Senior Expo. It was announced that Mr. Mustache was in the building. I really enjoyed his show when I was a child, so I made a bee line to go see him. I had the privelege to meet, and talk to him. He drew a picture of me right on the spot. I do, and will always treasure this drawing. Thank you Mr. Mustache!
I remember this show from my much younger days. I believe I even met him at an appearance he would make from time to time at a restaurant on East State.
