Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, held a tailgate party today at the old marina building in Rockford. They're trying to raise money so they can continue serving as a voice for children in the court system. They charged $40 a ticket, where families were able to hang out and watch the college football games and do some Christmas shopping. It was all to benefit children in need. To be a CASA advocate, you must go through 35 hours of training and commit for two years. Workers say it's a very rewarding job.
