U.S. Army Reserve Social Worker Dorrie Carskagon of Rockford was one of the 30 injured in the mass shooting at Fort Hood Texas yesterday. Family members did not want to go on camera but say their daughter has critical injuries.
Saint Chad Episcopal Church, where Carskadon attended, is holding a fundraiser to help with some of the costs of Carskadon's injuries. A prayer vigil is also scheduled for tonight beginning at 6 p.m.
If you would like to donate, please stop by the church at 6445 North Second Street, or call (779)537-0230.
