Fiber Optic Lines Cut
911, telephone and data service lines cut for thousands of customers in Ogle and Lee counties.

Verizon communications reports that while a construction crew accidentally cut some fiber lines near Oregon, IL, service should be restored by 6:30 P.M. Tuesday. 911 centers in both counties are relying on backup systems for emergency calls.
