The village board's considering a ban that would end door-to-door sales in the community. Village Staff says there's been calls from residents worried about people coming to their home for a sale.
The ban would apply to for-profit companies, but exclude religious, school and charitable groups.
Some board members said Monday that a complete ban may not be the best route to go. They mentioned using time limits and background checks to monitor these businesses.
The topic returns to the agenda for more discussion next month.
