A push to make Illinois a leader in the ethanol industry brought State Representative Mike Boland to Rockford today.
The quad cities democrat is introducing legislation that requires local governments to purchase flex fuel cars when buying news ones like hybrid vehicles which are more fuel efficient, running on both E85 and traditional gas.
Boland says supporting E85 uses homegrown Midwestern fuels rather then relying on oil from the middle east.
