Pet Food Recall Update 4/2/07

The list of recalled pet foods is growing. Three more pet food makers have added their products to the list of foods to keep away from our pets.

Alpo brand Prime Cuts in Gravy canned dog food, Dingo Chick'n Jerky Dog Treats and various Del Monte dog treats and wet pet foods have been added to the list of recalled products.

On Friday, Hill's Prescription diet feline food was also added to the list. The deadly recall originated two weeks ago in Menu Foods wet pet food. Right now, FDA officials believe that a chemical used to make plastic is causing kidney failure in our pets, but an investigation is still ongoing.
