A sycamore church destroyed by fire last month will not be built on its former site.
Fire gutted St. John's Lutheran Church on Feb. 9, injuring two firefighters. According to church leader Rev. Don Phelps, members of the congregation voted Sunday night not to reconstruct the church on south Main Street.
That location had been it's home for more than a 120 years. Church members decided to form a building and planning committee to look for a new site.
Another meeting will be held Monday night on the issue.
